I’ve never worked with a recruiter before; how does the process work?
Cohn Search Group serves as your resource and consultant throughout the entire hiring process from beginning to end. We will always consider your specific career goals and personal needs or circumstances when conducting your job search. Once the right position is identified, we will introduce you to the hiring manager(s), review your resume, arrange and prepare you for interviews, assist you with negotiating a competitive compensation package, and guide you through your resignation.
Is my information kept confidential?
Cohn Search Group understands that your job search needs to remain confidential and we are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not send a resume to a client company without your complete knowledge and consent.
Is there any cost to me as a candidate?
No, candidates do not pay any fees to use our services. We are compensated by the client companies that we partner with.
Do you handle temporary work assignments?
No. At this time, Cohn Search Group is focused solely on permanent placements.
Do you actively seek out job opportunities for candidates?
Yes, our goal is to help identify any and all potential fits for active job seekers.
How long is the hiring process?
It varies. Each search is unique because the candidate, company and position will have unique requirements that will impact timing. The timeline for a search and subsequent placement can range from a couple of weeks to a few months. When we speak with you about a particular position, we can more accurately assess the timeline.
Is my compensation affected by the fee the organization pays to Cohn Search Group?
No, organizations have a dedicated budget set aside for recruiting fees.
What do I wear to a face-to-face interview?
You have only one chance to make a first impression, and therefore, we recommend business attire for all face-to-face interviews, unless otherwise told.
